They do!
The sushi here is great! Alex is super friendly and needles you feel very welcomed. We had the Daimonji Don and the Daimonji sampler and was very full leaving. Definitely recommend coming here if you're around in the neighborhood.
Excellent food and service in the heart of Georgetown. I had the sampler for an delicious mix of sushi and sashimi with salad and miso soup for under $20. Yum!
Very enjoyable food, good selection. Helpful, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. We went with a group. It's a little gem in the midst of a food desert. When I ordered something that contained an ingredient I can't eat, they made another batch without it. We will be back!
Came here when craving sushi and not wanting to go downtown. We had a wonderful okonomiyaki and a platter of insanely fresh and delicious sushi paired with some unfiltered sake. It came to $80 for two people which felt like the deal of the century considering we both left stuff to the gills. Really great staff and wonderfully prepared food.
Really fresh, great portions and the best agedashi tofu around! The sushi and sashimi combos are excellent too. Super friendly and welcoming owners.
It was so good!!! And super friendly!
I love this restaurant. Had a poke salad with Tuna. It was delicious!!
If you want a unique personal experience and the best fish in the Northwest, you need to come here. Alex and Stephanie are amazing, and the attention to detail is incredible.
Alex has some of the freshest sushi I've had in Seattle. Great food and great service!
Nice friendly, cozy and quiet restaurant. Great variety of Sushi and sashimi. Happy to return for more visits and sample other offerings.
Came in late on Thursday night. Service was lovely; we were waited on by the wife of the owner who made us feel like we were at home. The red snapper sashimi was one of the highlights of the meal. The quality of all the fish we had was excellent, and while the recommended rolls were good (we had the Crazy Dragon and Rainbow) the Four Season roll was even better. The green onion in it was an excellent decision. We also had the creme brûlée because I love dessert. It was rich, custard-y, and unique as far as desserts you can find in a Japanese restaurant go.Lots of parking, some of the loveliest owners you’ll ever meet, and some great sushi...I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often!
I just ate there after reading the reviews. I must say that the food did not seem was not fresh. I ordered the bento box. The tempera had too much breading and the shrimp was not very fresh. I ordered a spider role and it was covered in teriyaki sauce. It came without the spicy mayo. I am going to try it again thinking it might have been an off night.
Yummy Japanese place in Georgetown. Good diverse menu, very friendly owners. Pretty quiet on week nights but seem to do a lot of takeout. Good with kids and owners also have kids:) love veggie tempura! Probably would skip yakisoba. Nice bento box.
Always friendly service and super fresh fish.
Great food and service
Good service and good sushi! If you enjoy sake, this place shows you honor, as well!
By far the best Sushi restaurant I’ve ever experienced. Plus the experience with the staff is beyond excellent.
Had the sukiyaki. It was okay but missing a little something.
I visit here once a month or so with coworkers, the price point for lunch is solid , can't go wrong with their udon bowls. I haven't found anything on the menu I have disliked yet. Decent location for a date or a quick bite as the staff is quick and courteous. Traffic in the area isn't always fun but it had a nicely sized free parking lot that makes it nicely accessable
Had some amazing Uni & Toro, the itamae Alex is good at conversations also!
Very tasty food and great service. A little hidden gem in Georgetown.
Excellent food; fish is fresh, broth of the udon is rich and sweet
Daimonji is in the strip mall off of Michigan Ave on the south facing side. It's a quaint little spot that has a large menu, great service and good tasting food. The bento box is the best deal by far, as some of the sushi, although delicious, can get a little pricey for the portions you get. Great lunch spot, as it's never too busy to sit down, but they get a lot of to go orders.
They always treat us great, and have delicious Japanese Cuisine items which are hard to find elsewhere, such as okonomiyaki pancakes and katsu-don rice bowls. The hand rolls are served fresh and crispy, and they frequently have limited specials depending on season and quality for various kinds of fish.So far they are the best sushi/japanese spot I have found in South Seattle
Great sushi spot and very friendly Chef, made excellent recommendations.
The price of lunch was too high, quality of food was just ok, for this part of town. No wonder the place was pretty empty at lunch time.
Wonderful Food. Great place for Sushi. They have it all. I like the quaintness.
Good atmosphere but very pricey. Probably the smallest portions I have ever seen for $12+. Service was incredibly slow as well, but they were. Very nice and could have just been understaffed. It will probably be a while before I try this place again as I know at least 3 other places that have as good or better food at almost half price.
Service, the sushi and the drinks were all great. Easy parking, no wait, easy shot into downtown Seattle for nightlife fun after a tasty meal.
Diamonji is easily my favorite sushi joint in Seattle!! Alex, the sushi chef is a true artist. He cares about the rice to filling ratio, the exact cut of the fish, having the freshest ingredients and so much more that I would never even think of! We love sitting at the bar to hangout with him, ask questions and watching him prepare rolls. All of that care shows in the food he prepares. Everything that I've tried from the kitchen is great too. Again, less fillers like too much rice or over battered tempura. Dimonji gives the perfect balance of fish, veggies, and sides on their plates. The miso, the green tea, the service, everything there is way above and beyond good. This is the perfect little Corson Ave secret spot with truly exceptional food, wonderful service, and a refreshing, energizing family feel. I could go on and on, but you'll just have to go check it out for yourself ;)If you do, make sure to get some of the super white tuna. You'll thank me later.
I have been going here for 30 years and nothing has changed! The food and sushi are wonderful and the service is too!
Was up picking up supplies and stopped in for a quick lunch.... very fresh and portions were on point!! Great place for lunch!!!
Daimonji was an amazing hidden gem in Georgetown. Recommended by our hotel staff (Georgetown Inn,b access the street), it was empty when we entered, but a warm greetings from the owner, and some recommendations made this a worthwhile experience. The sashimi was fresh and very good quality ( the amberjack was on special when we were there). We also had the hot pot, the udon, and a pork katsu Curry which was insanely good. Highly recommended by my whole family.
We have driven by Daimonji so many times on our way to 'downtown' Georgetown. I mean, what kind of Sushi could it be across from Harbor Freight in a strip mall? The BEST kind! Yep, surprise, surprise, this small family sushi restaurant is so delicious. Ive been to 3 sushi places recently, including one in Denmark. This has been the best so far, and I love that its local! We sat next to a couple who are weekly regulars. They told us they have been all over Seattle and this was their favorite sushi place. We ordered everything on the fish specials and it was all fab. They dont have a ton of rolls, but that's ok, because Alex, the owner will do whatever you want, and the fish is SUPER fresh and flavorful. We really enjoyed our meal, Alex knows his fish, the food is great and we will definitely be back.We went back and it was as fresh and delish as before. Really, really good.
Everything was delicious and fresh. Will be coming back again.
A-Maz-ing!!! Had the chirashi bowl. It seems expensive but the quality and skill work is stunning.
My favorite sushi place! The owners and staff are so friendly, you feel like family. The sushi is always great. The chefs are willing to tailor any roll to your preferences, or create something truly unique and surprise you. The prices are very affordable. They also have okonomyaki, which is tough to find in Seattle.
Came here right before prom for something quiet and it was really good. I got some okonomiyaki which I've not really seen too many places and it was really tasty.
Very fresh Toro and Salmon Belly. Super friendly staff. I am not in Georgetown often but trying to think of a reason to visit again soon. Highly recommended
It was fast clean and food is awesome.
Delicious food & friendly staff. Went with a co-worker and we were served quickly. I was immediately given GF soy sauce when I asked and our food came very quickly after we ordered. I will definitely go back next time I am in the area.
Fast service, but over priced for both value & quality.
I experienced the best melt-in-your-mouth unagi I've ever had at this place. Service was super friendly. The chef was personable, and made sure his customers had a good time.
Best sushi in town, excellent vibe, service, high quality sashimi...
Not the best sushi. Their customer service was lacking. Maybe I went at a bad time.
Super friendly service. Delicious food that came out quickly. This has won its way to the top of my Seattle sushi list.
Very nice people and service. Bathroom is clean. Food is good but a bit pricey.
They forgot our soup.
Great food. Very friendly sushi chef.
Good, affordable sushi
